Presenter Information
Talks may be no longer than 10 minutes. This will leave 5 minutes for questions from the audience before the next speaker begins. Each of the oral sessions will be introduced and timed by a student moderator. The moderator will have a timer that will go off at 3 different times:
- Once when your talk has reached 8 minutes (as a reminder to begin wrapping up);
- Once when your talk has reached 10 minutes; and
- Once when the full 15 minutes has transpired.
The moderator will keep the session running on time, but
please plan to talk for no more than 10 minutes. This will be a challenge for most of you— 10 minutes is not much time to get all of your data in, so be concise. A good rule of thumb is one slide per minute of talk, so plan on only having 10 slides or so.
PowerPoint presentations can be made on either Macs or PCs; please let us know which one you used to generate your talk.
Please send your finalized presentations to
Abhinav Sinha NO LATER THAN 5PM TUESDAY MAY 6TH.
Judging
The oral presentations will be judged according to
a standardized set of guidelines.

The presentation schedule can be found

Posters
We will be providing poster presenters with a 4x6' foam backing board. Your poster must fit on this board. The poster session will run from 5-7:00pm on Thursday, May 8. Your attendance will be required for judging between 5:00 and 6:00 pm.
Posters will be displayed in several rooms on the first floor of the Old Library, in and around the Great Hall. Please hang your poster by 10:30 on Thursday morning and take it down on Friday at 4:00. This will give as many people as possible a chance to view your poster during the Student Research Forum.
There will be an assigned spot for your poster. Your name will be posted on your assigned location. There will also be a master list with poster locations at the registration table.
